Can I add my personal email address?
Sorry, we only publish your firm's email address in your personal data. The reason being we do not wish members to be flooded with emails from spammers.

Can I request that my particulars or that of my firm be removed from the Legal Directory?
Sorry, our exisitng policy is to display on this website the particulars of all lawyers practising in West Malaysia and their respective law firms for the benefit of members of the Malaysian Bar as well as the public.
The information on this website is also intended to be the most up-to-date superseding that as contained in the hard copy of the Malaysian Bar Legal Directory which is only updated bi-annually. If you are dissatisfied with this answer, you may like to refer the matter directly to the Bar Council for determination.

We are aware that our legal directory will also be heavily used by members of the public, it is not our policy to suggest that their choice of a lawyer should also be based on seniority or gender.

I am a Commissioner for Oaths, but why is my name not in the Directory section?
If you are also an advocate and solicitor, then please email the webmaster giving full particulars of your appointment. If yours is a new appointment (not re-appointment) after 15 May 2005, you are first required to write officially to the Bar Secretariat enclosing a copy of the letter of appointment.

I am a Syarie Lawyer but by name is not listed in the Legal Directory.
Only Syarie lawyers who are also advocates and solicitors will be listed in our Legal Directory. If you are an advocate and solicitor and a Syarie Lawyer, but your name is not listed, then please write officially to the Bar Secretariat under your firm's letterhead.

Our listing is currently based on the place where you practise as an advocate and solicitor.
